Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's Husband Dave Goldberg Passes Away at 47

Tributes and condolences continue to pour in for Dave Goldberg, husband of Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, who passed away last week.

Mr. Goldberg was the chief executive of SuveryMonkey, which he joined in 2009 following a stint at Yahoo. His demise was reportedly sudden but the cause of death was not released by the family. Mr. Goldberg's brother Robert shared the news of his death on Facebook.

"In this time of sorrow, we mourn his passing and remember what an amazing husband, father, brother, son and friend he was. No words can express the depth of loss we feel, but we want his children to learn how much he meant to all of you," the facebook post reads. Mr. Robert Goldberg also requested his brother's friends and acquaintances to share memorable pictures to his brother's profile.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is a friend of the bereaved family, described Mr. Goldberg as an amazing person.

"Dave Goldberg was an amazing person and I am glad I got to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with Sheryl and her family. I hope friends will join me in celebrating his life by sharing your memories of Dave on his profile, as his brother Rob suggests," Zuckerberg wrote.
