Kate Middleton and Prince William have welcomed their second royal baby.

Middleton gave birth to a healthy girl at St. Mary's Hospital in London, Kensington Palace announced Saturday.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:34 a.m.," the statement read.

The Palace notified the press that Middleton was admitted to St. Mary's at 6 a.m. Saturday in London. She had traveled by car from the Palace to the hospital's private Lindo Wing, where George, William and Harry were all born. At the time of her admittance, she was in the early stages of labor.

Dr. Alan Farthing and Dr. Guy Thorpe-Beeston presided over the delivery. A team of midwives was reportedly present as well.

The Princess will be fourth in line to the British throne. Ahead of her is grandpa Prince Charles, father William and older brother, Prince George.

The Duchess is rumored to be planning a longer maternity leave this time around. She will spend that time with both of her children before continuing her royal duties. William will reportedly take two weeks off from training.
