Bruce Jenner Sued After Woman Died in Car Crash in February
Bruce Jenner has been having quite the year - divorcing Kris Jenner and announcing that he is transitioning into a woman. Now, the children of a woman that died in February in a four-car crash that also included Bruce Jenner have filed a civil lawsuit against him, according to reports.
The complaint was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by two stepchildren of Kimberly Howe, who died in the Feb. 7 collision on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, according to a Reuters report.
"So far, no one has accepted responsibility for the collision that resulted in Ms. Howe's death. Her children feel an obligation to bring the truth to light and seek justice for Ms. Howe. This lawsuit is the only tool at their disposal that gives them the ability to do so," Redmond and William Howe's attorney Jeffrey Wolf said in a statement.
According to previous reports, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said the deadly crash occurred after a Prius came to a stop in the northbound lanes of PCH for unknown reasons. The Prius was then hit by a white Lexus sedan driven by Kimberly Howe.
Jenner's Cadillac Escalade then rear-ended the Lexus. The Lexus spun into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Hummer H2.
A deputy said Jenner voluntarily took a field sobriety test, was questioned and went home. Jenner passed the test, according to a report by CNN affiliate KSBW.
