Demi Lovato Tattoo Scandal: Singer Finally Responds, Apologizes to Artist Who Did Her ‘Vagina’ Tattoo
Demi Lovato responded and wrote a long apology for the tattoo artist who claimed not to receive any credit or payment for making the artist's 'vagina' tattoo on her wrist. Further, the artist claimed that the songstress acted badly and peed on the toilet seat.
At first, the Skyscraper singer took tattoo artist, Ashley McMullen's comments lightly by responding using a set of emojis showing that she is laughing at the whole idea.
According to Mirror, the singer wrote, "Bye bye and hello .. Thank you SO MUCH to my brother @GEESPOTAT2... It looks beaaauutiful and I LOVE it!! #RIPvaginatattoo #kidsdontdodrugs," addressed to Ashley.
However, the singer wrote a longer post on Wednesday saying that she got fed up with the tattoo artist's strong words, US Magazine said.
"Dear Ashley McMullen, I wasn't going to acknowledge your bitter Instagram comments but since your side of the story has picked up some headlines, I would like to share my thoughts and send you a proper apology," the singer said.
She went on saying that she did not remember the artist doing the tattoo since she was drunk that time.
"First, I would like to say I'm really sorry I don't remember you or getting tattooed by you, but as you know I was f---ed up and sometimes people act like '#turds' when they're loaded. Second, I apologize for my '#peepeetoiletseat'... That wasn't on purpose, I was simply a drunken teenage girl. Lastly, I apologize for making fun of your work.. But... if I were you, I wouldn't claim that one because it looked more like an open vagina (or even a butt hole as my 8 year old little sister called it at the time.)"
The Let It Go hitmaker also said that she was 18 years old that and did not have the proper judgement as she was drunk while in a tourist bus.
"I can't blame you for getting the tattoo, I take full responsibility for that but if the issue here is you wanting credit, maybe next time you should wait for the person to get your tattoo sober so they would actually remember getting the tattoo in the first place, or perhaps you could've thought about all of this as a blessing that I forgot everything about you - that was until you outted yourself for the now internationally infamous 'vagina tattoo.' But you're right, I should give credit where credit is due, and you Ashley, surely deserve credit for this one. #justputitonmytab," she continued.
Earlier this week, Ashley aired her rants on Instagram this week that her lips tattoo that often received jokes comparing it to a 'vagina' did not receive payment and proper credit, People reports.
"Cool post @ddlovato, thanks for getting the tattoo covered up I did for free that you specifically asked for. Not to mention you didn't even have the courtesy to offer me any money in the first place," McMullen wrote.
"You pissed all over our toilet seat and you made a fool of yourself. What a shame that people look up to you. The tattoo you covered it with kinda sucks too. #demilovato #scumbag #turd #claimstobesober #drankallthebeer #peepeetoiletseat #yousuck."
