‘Zoolander 2’s’ Ben Stiller Confirms Justin Bieber’s Cameo
The anticipated sequel, "Zoolander 2" continues to add more cast members.
Lead actor Ben Stiller, who will be reprising his role as model Derek Zoolander, confirmed that singer Justin Bieber will be making a cameo. Stiller posted a picture of himself staring at Bieber on Instagram with a caption that read, "#Zoolander2 @justinbieber."
Rumors that the Canadian "Baby" singer was going to cameo in the movie first surfaced on Sunday when Bieber flew to Rome, where the movie is being filmed. On Monday, Bieber teased his fans via Facebook and wrote, "Working on something big right now in Europe. To learn more follow me on Fahlo. He is so hot right now."
After the confirmation, new rumors are circulating that Bieber might be considering a career in acting.
A source told E! News, "He's definitely interested in movies and starting a film career."
"Zoolander 2" will follow Derek and Hansel's (Owen Wilson) return to the modeling world. Their careers are threatened when an opposing company attempts to take them out of business (IMDB).
Will Ferrell and Christine Taylor will be reprising their roles from 2001's Zoolander. Newcomers to the cast include Fred Armisen, Penelope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, Kyle Mooney, Billy Zane, Cyrus Arnold and Olivia Munn.
Models Karlie Kloss, Alessandra Ambrosio, Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn reportedly make cameos in the film. Rumors also claim that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian will be making cameos.
The sequel was announced during Paris Fashion week and Stiller and Owen showed up on the Valentino show as Derek and Hansel.
"Zoolander 2" is set to hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
