'Burn, Kill, Bury': Czech Diplomat Defends Slaughter Of 48 In Odessa
One Czech Republic's energy envoy seemed to have got a bright, creative way of fighting civil unrest.
A government must kill its own citizens and burn them near a road, said Vaclav Bartuska, the Czech Republic's energy envoy, according to sputniknews.
That was the justification of the terrible slaughter of innocents in Odessa, Ukraine, on May 2, 2014.
Last year in May, there were conflicts at Odessa between the supporters as well as opponents of independence, which got 48 people killed by right-wing radicals.
Bartuska said that Prague has carefully studied the model that was used in eastern Ukraine to whip up support of independence.
Said the Czech envoy about Odessa: "Groups of civilians - including men, women and children - seize government buildings. Within two days they get arms and after that women and children disappear, leaving only the armed men. If they [independence supporters] are quickly resisted, as it was done in Odessa where they were simply burned to death, or Dnepropetrovsk, where they were simply killed and buried by the side of the road, everything will be calm. If this is not done, then there will be war. That's all."
Born in Prague in 1968, Bartuska was a student leader who was responsible for the overthrow of the Communist regime. Having studied journalism, Bartuska was a reporter for Czech daily 'Mlada fronta Dnes'. He became Czech Republic's special envoy for energy security in 2006.
However, whatever he did or didn't do is no longer relevant.
The big question is: what on earth is he going to do now?
