NBA Playoffs 2015: Cleveland Cavs Sweep the Celtics, Kevin Love Dislocates Shoulder

Cleveland Cavaliers Kevin Love was forced to leave Game four of the Eastern Conference playoffs early due to a dislocated shoulder. Despite Love's departure, the Cavs continued to dominate and defeated the Boston Celtics 101-93.

During the first quarter, Love got tangled up with Boston Celtics Kelly Olynyk, who pulled down on Love's left arm and subsequently dislocated it. Right after the play, Love grabbed his left shoulder and ran to the Cavs' locker room.

Love spoke with reporters after the play.

"I thought it was a bush-league play," Love said. "Olynyk was in a compromising position, had no chance to get the ball, and it's just too bad that he would go to those lengths to take somebody out of the game and do that to someone. I have no doubt in my mind that he did that on purpose."

Love added that he believed the league would review the contact and conclude that the center had intended to hurt him. Olynyk has responded to these claims, stating that he was very much surprised that Love thought the injury was intentional.

"That's ridiculous," Olynyk said to the Boston Herald. "I would never intentionally hurt Kevin or anyone else. He locked my arm up, I locked up his as we were fighting for a loose ball. You lock up arms all the time in this league. I wish him a very speedy recovery, and I hope he can come back to help his team in the playoffs"

Olynyk also told the Herald that he has been trying to contact Love.

"Kelly doesn't have a mean bone in his body," Celtics Evan Turner said. "And obviously with a star player it looks bad, but Kelly's not that type of dude. K-Love should feel the same type of way because, what is it? A separated shoulder? That's tough, man. It might be missing something very important, especially when that guy's been battling for 7-8 years to make it to the playoffs. That's tough as well. But if the league looks into it, they'll do the right job on investigating, but Kelly is not that type of guy."

Love will be evaluated at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health. A source told ESPN.com's Brian Windhorst that some players believe Love could miss at least two weeks. Losing Love to an injury in the second round of the playoffs could pose a huge problem for the Cavs. In the series, which the Cavs swept 4-0, Love has been averaging 18.3 points and 9.0 rebounds. He has been shooting 47.1 percent from the 3-point range.

The Cavs are also expecting to lose J.R Smith to a multi-game suspension. During the highly physical game, Smith was ejected for hitting Jae Crowder. On top of that, Kendrick Perkins could be facing a suspension as well for getting into a skirmish with Crowder.

The Cavs will most likely enter Game 1 of the second round of the playoffs without three players. The Cavs will take on the winner of the Chicago Bulls - Milwaukee Bucks series.
