Lenovo A5000: Features, Price, Release Date

Lenovo adds a new member to its family, the Lenovo A5000.

The new Lenovo A5000, which has now entered the Russian market, has come up with a bundle of features.

The Lenovo A5000's most interesting feature is the battery capacity of 4000mAh, which can deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 792 hours of stand-by time on 3G networks. However, most probably the phone does not support 4G LTE networks, which puts it on a back foot when compared to its other competitors in the market. The company also touts that the smart phone's Quick Charge feature allows the battery to get fully charge in 3 hours, while a 15 minute charge offers up to 4 hours of talk time.

The Lenovo A5000 is based on the Android 4.4 KitKat platform and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek (MT6582) processor coupled with a 1GB RAM and Mali T760-MP2 graphics processor.

The phones houses a internal memory capacity of 8GB, which can further be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.

The Lenovo A5000 is built with a 8 mega pixel auto focussing primary camera with LED flash and a 2 mega pixel secondary camera, which is decent when coupled with its memory capacity.

Looking at the connectivity side of the phone, the Lenovo A5000 offers GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and Bluetooth options. It also encompasses sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor.

The Lenovo A5000 comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 300ppi. It measures 140x71.4x9.98mm, weighing 160 grams, and is listed in Black and White colours.

The Lenovo A5000 has hit the Russian market at a price of approximately $233.
