People Magazine Names Sandra Bullock 2015’s Most Beautiful Woman

Sandra Bullock can find humor in almost anything.

When the Oscar-winning actress was notified that she was People Magazine's 2015 most beautiful woman in the world, Bullock laughed.

The 50-year-old actress told the publication that she was shocked when she found out about the title.

"No really. I just said, 'That's ridiculous...' I've told no one."

Instead of talking about the glam lifestyle that comes with being an A-list actress, Bullock focused on her journey as a mother to five-year-old Louis. She stated that she found beauty in being a mother.

Even though this title is a huge compliment, Bullock said that the best ones are from her son's mouth.

"I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I'm old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I'll still love him and want to tuck him in," she said. "And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, 'Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.' And he touched my face and said, 'You're not old, you're just happy.'"

Aside from motherhood, Bullock stated that her healthy diet is an integral part of who she is today. On top of that, working out with Body By Simone roughly four to five times a week helps her stay balanced.

"I love that it's not big weights, you move the entire time, it's a torture chamber of sorts," Bullock said. "When I started, I could barely do 20 seconds, and I'm not kidding. I'm crying on the floor, and she's like, 'Are you a smoker?' I was like, 'I hate you.' "

Overall, Bullock explained that for her, real beauty is not about what is on the surface.

She said, "Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town [Los Angeles], it's just so hard not to say, 'Oh, I need to look like that.' No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they're in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren't trying."
