Full House Reboot: ‘Fuller House’ Series Officially Coming to Netflix

The much-loved 1980s-90s series Full House will have a revival in 2016 and will have thirteen episodes in Netflix, ET Online said.

The news was officially announced by John Stamos in the ABC's Johnny Kimmel show saying that Fuller House will be centered on the new life of newly-widowed veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) who is expecting her third child.

Her younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (played by Jodie Sweetin) and their former neighbor/single Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) came to the rescue and move in to her San Francisco home to help her raise her two sons, J.D and Max.

A report from Engadget said that John Stamos will be coming back for his original role as Uncle John. Also negotiations for other veteran stars from the show Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Dave Coulier whose appearance are still on negotiation are also underway.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the series will be under Warner Horizon Television, Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions with Jeff Franklin, its original creator, returning back to oversee with the overall productions. He will be working with executive producers Robert L. Boyett and Thomas L. Miller.

"As big fans of the original Full House, we are thrilled to be able to introduce Fuller House's new narrative to existing fans worldwide, who grew up on the original, as well as a new generation of global viewers that have grown up with the Tanners in syndication," Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content for Netflix said in a statement as mentioned in Coming Soon Net.

Executive producers Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin would also like to welcome hardcore Full House fans for its new episodes.

"The continued support of Full House fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding. It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today. The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family off screen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring Full House back to life."
