NFL Report: 2015 Schedule to be Released on Tuesday

The game schedule for the 2015 NFL season will be released on Tuesday, the league announced Monday.

Although the same 32 teams in the NFL will be competing with one another, the organizations and their fans do not know the order of and the times for the games until after the computer simulations are finished.

The simulations considered several factors such as stadium availability, TV broadcast requirements and competitive balance, ESPN.com reported. Although the scheduled appeared to take four months to complete, sources are claiming that it was finished a lot earlier but was circulated.

ProFootballTalk wrote:

"The schedule is and has been ready to go. As another source tells PFT, the league circulates the finished product to some of the more influential owners for "beta testing" before making it official. It's unclear whether any of the owners have the juice to force changes to the schedule; some adjustments would require more effort than shuffling a couple of games around. It could be that Commissioner Roger Goodell, whose job partially entails keeping a constituency of 32 as happy as possible, wants some of the key members of the group that determines his terms of employment to feel as if they are involved."

The most highly anticipated game day schedule will be the yearly NFL Kickoff game, which will feature the Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots. That game will take place at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 10. Early speculations have the Patriots hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The breakdown of each team's away and home games as well as their opponents in those games was released back in December. The new schedule will offer a more detailed and complete look into next season. Click here for a look at the opponents set for the upcoming season.

The schedule will be announced at 8 p.m. ET. The NFL Network will offer live coverage till 11 p.m. ET. After the announcement, the schedule will be available on NFL.com.
