Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Father Says She 'Is Awake'
Singer Bobby Brown gave an update on the health condition of his daughter Bobbi Kristina on Saturday which hints that she may be on the upswing after being found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in January.
"I could say today, Bobbi is awake," Bobby told the audience who immediately began to cheer.
"Bobbi is awake," Bobby told cheering concertgoers during a performance in Dallas on Saturday night, in a video posted by an Instagram user. "She's watching me."
Bobby made his first public appearance since his daughter's hospitalization last weekend, performing at the Soul Food Festival in downtown Los Angeles.
"I must tell you all, this feels really, really, really, really good. Thank you all for coming out tonight for supporting me and my family," he told the crowd at the time, becoming emotional. "Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times.
Bobby didn't provide any further information on Bobbi Kristina's condition, and he didn't exactly make Bobbi Kristina's medical status clear.
A Brown family source told People that Bobbi Kristina Brown is still unconscious. "As far as I know, there's been no change," said the source. "We're still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle. We are leaving it in God's hands."
Bobbi Kristina was first hospitalized on Jan. 31 after being found face down and unconscious in a bathtub at her George home. Bobby has remained hopeful that his daughter's medical condition would improve with time.
"We continue to request privacy in regards to my daughter's medical condition," he previously said in a statement to E! News. "We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers."
