Anna Kendrick Lands Book Deal, Will Publish Personal Essays

Anna Kendrick can add author to her resume.

According to several media outlets, the "Pitch Perfect" actress has landed a book deal. The 29-year-old will write a collection of autobiographical essays, Touchstone announced on Thursday.

"I'm excited to publish my first book, and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself," Kendrick joked before adding, "while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I'm very, very funny on Twitter, according to BuzzFeed and my mom."

The book will be about Kendrick's journey from growing up in Maine to becoming a famous and very popular star in Hollywood. Some of Kendrick's early notable work includes, Up in the Air, which she eared an Academy Award nomination from and The Twilight Saga.

Kendrick most recently competed against John Krasinski on Spike's newest show, Lip Sync Battle. Watch her performance of Jennifer Lopez's "Booty" below.

The book, which is currently untitled, is scheduled to be released in fall 2016.
