Kendall Jenner on Living Life in Front of the Cameras: 'It is Normal'
New "It" girl, Kendall Jenner, dished about growing up in front of cameras in her latest photo shoot with GQ.
"It's really weird. I understand that it's not normal," the 19-year-old model explained. "But it is normal."
For Kendall, the cameras starting rolling when she was just 10-years-old. She stated that since she was so young, she did not really have a choice on whether or not she wanted to even be a part of a reality TV show.
"Me and my little sister [Kylie Jenner] were placed in," Kendall said. "Like, 'Okay, there's gonna be a TV show around.' We didn't have a say. And how could we have a say? It was in our home. There was no way we couldn't be on it."
When asked if she could go back time and change things, Kendall replied stating that she does not really remember what life was before the cameras.
"Honestly, I can't answer that question. I have no idea. I don't remember. I was 10 years old when the TV show started. I don't remember what it was like before," she said.
Despite growing up in front of the millions of people worldwide who watch "Keeping up with the Kardashians," Kendall said that when she started her modeling career, she wanted that to at least be separate.
"I told them from the beginning, I was like, 'Okay, love you guys, but we're not gonna do this. You're not gonna follow me to shows, you're not gonna be with me on this ride,'" the model said.
She added that she started to model because it was the career path she had envisioned. She did not do it to "prove something" to the rest of the world.
When asked if life would be better or worse with the show, Kendall simply replied that she does not think things would get worst because "everything that happens is still going to happen, just minus the cameras."
