DMV 'camera is specially made not to take ugly pictures' sign posted to warn drivers

If you are one of those many drivers who absolutely hate the photo on their driver's license, then you are in good company. While waiting in line at the DMV offer, a Redditor found something that caught their eye.

'Notice to customers, this camera is specially made not to take ugly pictures,' the sign said.

'If you have a complaint about your photo, we suggest that next time you bring a better face for your picture. Thank-you.'

The image was posted on Reddit by SindySlaughter with the simple caption 'seen at the DMV today'.

Many times, DMV personnel will not retake a photo if you think it came out bad. However, if you hate your driver's license photo and are up for renewal, you can still get a new one.

Just call for an appointment, shell out $12, and have your picture retaken for a new driver's license. (It will be labeled "duplicate.")

A couple of reminders for anyone headed to the DMV for a license: no hats, turbans or facial scarfs for the picture, except for religious purposes. If you wear glasses, they'll ask you to remove them because of the glare. The license, of course, will state whether you're required to wear them for driving.
