Apple is kicking off 2015 WWDC from June 8 where it's expected to show off new versions of iOS - iOS 9 - and a Mac OS X. Developers will also get more details about the Apple Watch.

The even will take place in the San Francisco's Moscone West center. Apple said this year's conference will be about the future of iOS, Mac OS X and the Apple Watch.

The theme of this year's event is The Epicenter of Change.

"The App Store ignited an app ecosystem that is simply amazing, forever changing the lives of customers and creating millions of jobs worldwide," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, in statement. "We've got incredible new technologies for iOS and OS X to share with developers at WWDC and around the world, and can't wait to see the next generation of apps they create."

Meanwhile, Apple has advised not to use selfie sticks. " In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens," read the information page of the program.

Coincidently, at a developer event earlier this year Facebook gave away selfie sticks.
