Apple Release iOS 8.3 With Diverse Emojis, Wireless CarPlay
Apple has released iOS 8.3, the third major update to iOS 8. The iOS 8.3 was seeded to developers in February and to public beta testers in mid-March.
iOS 8.3 brings several new features and design tweaks to the operating system. It brings an updated emoji picker that organizes emojis in an easily scrollable list. It also has a diversified emoji with expanded family options, emoji skin tone modifiers including new emojis that resemble the iPhone, iMac and Apple Watch.
Other iOS 8.3 includes wireless CarPlay that allows users to connect iPhones to their CarPlay systems sans Lightning cable.
Google two-factor authentication is also included in the update.
Apple Pay in iOS 8.3 supports China UnionPay network as well.
On iPhone 6 Plus, in landscape mode, there's now a bold/italics/underline key for formatting text.
Another notable improvement in the UI is update to the space bar which has been elongated to prevent users from hitting the period key in Safari.
It is also now possible to turn on a setting to allow you to download free apps without the need to enter your password.
Reportedly, the Apple is working on the next big update to iOS 8, iOS 8.4, which may include the company's upcoming streaming music service.
