If you happen to get caught by a cop for doing something illegal and decide to give a fake name, be careful not to give a name of a wanted criminal. That's exactly what happened to a woman from Boston who received a citation for smoking in a non-smoking area.

According to the MyFoxBoston, Tina Lunn was being cited for smoking in a non-smoking area when she allegedly tried to avoid any penalties by giving a fake name and birth date.

Although the officer informed Lunn about the arrest warrant, she didn't reveal that she had given a fake name. In fact, she went through the entire booking process using her new assumed name, TPDNews.com reports.

Officers eventually figured out her real name. Lunn had been wanted in Hingham District Court for charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping. She had an additional warrant out from Salem District Court for larceny.

Lunn was additionally charged with providing a false name during booking and was issued a smoking citation.
