The Android Lollipop 5.0, now available on the upcoming smart phones, and upgradable on the existing smart phones, facilitates a wide range of features, such as smooth and refined user interface, automatic encryption for enhanced security, better notification capabilities, multi-tasking i.e., switching between applications with ease, etc for the users. However, which such facilities, the Android Lollipop eats up the battery very quickly. This would ultimately reduce the efficiency of the phone.

Here are some tips which can help users to increase their battery life on an Android Lollipop: the primary duty of the user of any smart phone is to cut the usage of unnecessary applications. When too many applications run at the same time, the work load on the processor is increases. This would ultimately drain the battery very quickly.

Use simple backgrounds/ wallpapers. Avoid using live backgrounds, as this would lag the phone, at the time of processing large data.

Change the battery mode to power saving mode. Switch off the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS connectivity, when not required.

Keep the brightness of the screen at appropriate levels, as per the usage.

Use applications such as Clean Master, etc, which would help to boot the memory, delete junk files and hence increase the battery life.

Lastly, avoid overloading the smart phone with all unnecessary apps. Install apps which you require.
