Las Vegas Man Commits Suicide in Restaurant After Being Banned from Buffet
A Las Vegas man committed suicide inside a restaurant Easter Sunday after being banned from an all you can eat buffet because he was harassing some of the staff.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that 53-year-old John Noble killed himself at the all you can eat buffet at the M Resort. Noble killed himself because the resort banned him from the premises after a number of incidents where he sexually harassed female staff. In 2010, Noble won a contest that gave him free buffet meals for life at the M Resort.
The Journal was able to figure out Noble's motive because he mailed the newspaper a 270-page suicide note replete with a table of contents, photographs, and even a DVD.
What is not clear is why Noble waited so long to kill himself, when he was banned from the buffet in 2013. He threatened suicide shortly after the ban took effect, but the police were called and Noble was temporarily institutionalized for 3 weeks.
In the time between his ban and his suicide, Noble stalked and harassed female employees of the restaurant, usually on social media. He would often share derogatory and offensive messages about the employees, and even went so far as to share personal identifying information such as their addresses.
In Dec. 13, Noble also arranged for a meeting with a journalist from the Review in order to tell his story, so great was his sense of grievance.
