"Sherlock" may be waiting to see their favorite stars when the show returns, but for now, they can settle for a chocolate version of actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

UKTV recreated the Sherlock star using hollow chocolate just days before Easter, the biggest chocolate event on the UK calendar, in order to coincide with the launch of its new station focused on drama programs.

The sculpture of actor Benedict Cumberbatch took over 250 man hours to create and weighs 40 kg - and looks good enough to eat.

The team, including a sculptor, chocolatier and model maker began by interrogating the actor's measurements and assessing images from red carpet appearances to help them perfect Benedict's look and create an accurate model even down to the smallest detail.

Lead sculptor Tim Simpson said: "You can't rush perfection. Benedict has such a distinctive look that it was a challenge but a pleasure, to recreate him in chocolate, according to Express.

"A secret combination of methods ensured we got a great likeness - we're sure his legions of fans will approve!"
