Haute car manufacturers continue to redefine the term luxury vehicle, but with the SV Autobiography, Land Rover might have truly outdone them.

The SV giant has recently unveiled its new SUV, with a jaw dropping price tag of $199,495, and this makes the Land Rover SV Autobiography the world's most expensive SUV.

The Land Rover SV Autobiography houses a 550 horse power V8 engine, a significant increase from the now timid looking 510 horse power engine. In addition to the powerful engine, it is equipped with a beverage chillers compartment, powered deployable tables and a deep twist pile mohair carpet.

The eye-catching "duo-tone" color scheme consists of "Santorin Black" on the upper half, and a choice between a range of colors for the lower half, though purists cans stick to one color for the entire vehicle.

A number of uber-luxurious SUV's are on the horizon from manufactures like Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati and Rolls Royce. Jaguar, a brand that is also made by Jaguar Land Rover, recently announced plans for its first luxury SUV, the F-PACE, due out in 2016. The Bentley SUV is due out later this year, while the models from Lamborghini, Rolls Royce and Maserati are still a couple of years down the pipeline.
