2015 NFL Mock Draft: Jameis Winston Pro Day Draws Attention

Jameis Winston will prove why he is considered one of the top prospects - if not the number one prospect - in the upcoming 2015 NFL draft.

Winston will participate in Florida State's pro day and word on the street is that representatives from all 32 NFL teams will be in the stands. At the event, he will be able to showcase his skills by doing several throwing drills.

However, it is not Winston's football IQ that teams have to worry about, but rather, his behavioral issues off of the field. Winston's character has been questioned repeatedly and the young star quarterback has to prove to the league that he will not repeat his past issues, which included a rape accusation.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have the first pick, have also addressed Winston's behaviors, stating that they have considered Winston's off-the-field incidents. The Bucs hinted that Winston's history of personal incidents will not deter them from picking him in April.

"Outside of the perceived negativeness about his character, it's very hard to find something negative about the guy," analyst Gil Brandt said reported by NFL.com. "He has the size that you want; he has the arm strength that you want. He's a lot smarter than people give him credit for. There are a lot of pluses."

Several mock drafts have Winston as the number one pick granted that he performs well on the field and avoids problems off of it. If he does get picked first, he will be the sixth quarterback over the past 10 years to be selected number one overall. Some of the other quarterbacks include Cam Newton, Sam Bradford and Andrew Luck.
