Microsoft has added yet another startup to its growing list of acquisitions this year. The company has acquired Liveloop - an app that converts PowerPoint presentations into a URL format.

The app also allows users to view presentation anywhere anytime. Via Liveloop, you can also conduct meetings without getting into software installations.

However, post acquisition, the startup will be shutting down.

"LiveLoop will be shutting down permanently on April 24th, 2015. New user registration and presentation upload have been disabled... Existing LiveLoop users: if you have any data you would like to retrieve from LiveLoop, please do so before April 24th. On April 24th, all presentations and user data will be permanently deleted," Liveloop 'Notice' read.

The acquisition would allow Microsoft to make PowerPoint accessible on the web more seamlessly.

The amount of the acquisition was not disclosed.

Earlier, Microsoft had acquired Sunrise app for $100 million and an e-mail client Acompli for $200 million.
