Kerry Washington Said She Live Tweeted While Giving Birth to Her Daughter
Kerry Washington is a die hard devotee to her "Scandal" fans that she even live-tweeted last month when she was in labor with her baby girl.
Her baby girl, Isabelle, was born in April last month and she continued to tweet out messages as her popular show was on.
"Every Thursday within three weeks of my daughter Isabelle's due date, I loaded up pre-tweets based on the episodes and what I would want to say."
"I tweeted in the very early stages of my labor. I figured that if I went completely silent on social media, then people would know I was in the hospital," she told The Edit.
Washington, who posed for a stunning series of shots for The Edit, dished about what it's like to play the famous fixer for the ABC hit series.
On 'Scandal,' the star portrays Olivia Pope, a crisis management expert to the President of the United States. For her performance on the hit political thriller, Kerry has received nominations for two Emmys, a SAG Award and a Golden Globe.
"I love her. To me she's like family, and with family, it doesn't matter if you like them or not, you love them no matter what. I don't always agree with her choices, but I have a lot of compassion for them," she said of her character.
