Rihanna dropped some hints to her followers on Instagram on Wednesday as to how her new single would be. This is said to be part of the diva's eighth album (R8).

According to Time, RiRi posted a black and white, fashionable 80s-version of herself on her social media page with hashtags #R8," "#BBHMM" and "#March26. She also added a link to her site RihannaNOW.com (which leads to the same picture and hashtags)

The #R8 and #BBHM have been used for months now as fans of the Barbadian singer speculated if she will be releasing an album or a single. #BBHM stands for "Bitch Better Have My Money."

According to Billboard, the new single is produced by Kanye West thus reminiscent of the rapper's signature beats. West is said to have co-produced the single with Roc Nation signee Deputy.

Travis Scott and Wonda Girl are also reported to offer help and their ideas in RiRi's single.

As for the picture, The Guardian said that Rihanna's 80s look wearing a leather jacket with slightly showing her bumps, fashionable chandelier earrings and deep red lipstick suggested that the singer might be releasing something highbrow.

"#NewRihanna is always newsworthy, but it's the styling - a bit 2013 Rihanna when she went a little bit raw (stopped wearing so much lipstick) - that's turning heads. Wearing a Schott NYC leather jacket (a favourite of the singer, these £300-odd quilted leather jackets were also preferred by James Dean et al), and chandelier earrings while flashing her sternum tattoo, Rihanna's new image screams Madonna circa-Vision Quest meets Paolo Roversi meets Frida Kahlo meets Boy George. A wonderful combination and one that suggests the singer is going highbrow. Or at least thick, painted brows. Either way, we'll take what we can get," it said.

Time also said that BBHMM is a deviation from the diva's earlier single 'FourFiveSeconds' with folk-country beats that she had collaborated with Kanye West and Paul McCartney.

"This one is hypnotic, thudding, and confident, but the core's the same: her voice, which seems to be reaching new heights. Here she's strident and percussive, hammering out the hook with abandon; it's surely only a matter of time until Vine's littered with inspired, barking debt collectors. R8 is on the horizon."
