Shia LaBeouf’s Disorderly Conduct Case to be Dismissed if He Avoids Arrest for 6 Months
Shia LaBeouf will have to steer clear of trouble over the next six months.
According to E! News, the "Transformers" actor appeared in a Manhattan Criminal court with his attorney, Robert Gage on Friday. The 28-year-old Hollywood star reportedly withdrew his plea for disorderly conduct in exchanged for an ACD, which stands for Adjournment in contemplation of dismissal.
"This case is adjourned in contemplation of dismissal," Judge Ann Scherzer stated.
"As long as you stay out of trouble for...six months from today, this case will be dismissed and sealed."
Gage also provided evidence that LaBeouf completed an alcohol treatment program.
His attorney stated, "Shia has done a terrific job and we appreciate the court's recognition of that."
LaBeouf was arrested on June 26, 2014. He was charged with a violation for smoking cigarettes. He was also arrested for yelling at the actors in the "Cabaret" show and cursing at the security guards. After his arrest, LaBeouf reportedly spat at cops while being booked at the police station and yelled, "F-k you! This is f-king bullshit? Do you know my life? Do you know who I am?"
The incident took place at Studio 54 in New York.
After the court appearance, LaBeouf, who wore a dark charcoal suit with his rat-tail braid and a silver heart Tiffany earring, left without giving a comment to reporters.
He stated that the events all started when he was drinking whiskey while watching the World Cup at a Times Square bar. LaBeouf recalled the events leading up to his arrest on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!
