Apple Watch Release Date and Rumors: Second Manufacturer Could Help Tech Giant with Massive Demand

To contain the surge it expects when Watch release, Apple is planning on signing a second manufacturer.

Reports suggest that Apple could rope in iPhone maker Foxconn alongside Quanta Computer which is currently tasked with making the device, IT Pro reports. Apple Watch will be up for pre-order April 10 and will be available April 24 onwards. Apple unveiled the watch earlier this month. Apple hopes to sell more than a million watches in few months following the release.

Elsewhere, reports have surfaced informing about a host of third party accessories for the Apple Watch, even before its release. Some these accessories include charging station and band adapters that promise to give Watch users more value for money.

CNET reported that trade-ins for Apple Watch have also been announced. Websites are soon going to add smartwatches including that of Apple, to their collections. Certified pre-owned watches can be a good deal if cost is a factor.

Apple announced three versions of watch; Watch Sport, Watch and Watch Edition which comes in 18 k gold and costs as much as $ 17,000.
