According to rumors, Apple might release the iPad Pro later this year but Microsoft seems to beat its competitor by launching the next version of its tablet-laptop hybrid sooner.

According to The Inquisitr, Microsoft is planning to launch the new Surface Pro 4 before Apple's release of the highly awaited tablet, iPad Pro.

Earlier, reports had suggested that Microsoft was planning to launch Surface Pro 4 sometime in July but the release date could be sooner than expected as the prices for the current Surface Pro 3 line have already been reduced.

Currently, the Surface Pro 3 bundle can be bought with a big $300 discount - which includes the slate plus four add-ons, namely a type cover, Microsoft Office 365, a sleeve, as well as an extended support plan.

According to PC Pro, the Surface Pro 4 will be launched in two models - first one could be a 12-inch version while other 14-inch. Both of these models will be powered by an Intel Core M Broadwill chip.
