Man hopes to win back wife with an iPhone 6 after waiting 44 hours in line
Can the highly anticipated iPhone 6 save a marriage? Well one man in Bristol hopes that it will do just that.
Darius Wlodarski was spotted waiting in line for the iPhone 6 in Bristol, but unlike many others, he had a different motive for desperately wanting to get the new phone. He split from his wife of 20 years about a month ago. Before they broke up, he promised himself that he'd get her an iPhone 6, so he waited 44 hours in line at the Bristol Apple store, according to the Bristol Post.
Wlodarski does not expect the present will necessarily get them together again but hopes it will bring her some happiness.
"I bought her an iPhone 5 two years ago and she was delighted," he said.
"She told me she would like an iPhone 6 because it had a bigger screen but realised we could not afford it but still, I want to buy it for her."
Since we split up, I have realised that I was not a very good father or husband.
"I am very happy to get something she will like but for me, it is a sad day.
"I hope I can convince her I could be a good father and husband."
Since he began camping out in the precinct outside the shop, he has been offered coffee and lunch from a restaurant nearby.
"Everybody has been very kind to me," he said. "I came to Bristol because everyone is so friendly."
