The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have managed to stash away some praises from the reviewers and fans and it seems like the rumored Galaxy S6 Active will also repeat the same.

According to rumors, the Galaxy S6 Active will have the same 5.1 inch QHD Super AMOLED+ display that the 'regular' version of the Galaxy S6 features. SamMobile further reports that device will feature pretty much the same set of specifications as the Galaxy S6 itself, including the Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage and a 16-megapixel / 5-megapixel camera combo.

However, the difference will be in the dimensions - 73.6 x 146.9 x 8.8 mm (as opposed to 70.5 x 143.4 x 6.8 mm of the Galaxy S6), and battery, which allegedly will be upgraded to 3500mAh.

Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy S6 Active will also serve as the rugged waterproof version of S6.

According to CNET, AT&T may be "first in line to scoop up the Galaxy S6 Active."

"This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, however, as it was the exclusive provider to support the S4 Active and S5 Active," the site reported.
