Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Date, Specs and Rumors Roundup: The Phone Might Hit Shelves This September

After the Galaxy S6 launch at MWC, entire attention is being shifted to Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The yet-to-be-launched smartphone, according to rumors, will be released in September this year.

Samsung is expected to upgrade the display from 2K in the Galaxy Note 4 to 4K in the Galaxy Note 5, making it the world's first 4K phone.

Like, Galaxy S6 Edge, the new Galaxy Note 5 will be launched sporting a dual-edge curved display, according to rumors.

The device is expected to have a wider screen size of 5.9 inch with a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels, or a density of 746 pixel per inch, giving users a much better viewing experience, reports Ecumenical News.

In the area of processors, rumors have different guesses. According to some, the Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm octacore Snapdragon 810 processor, while others believe Samsung will use its own chipset, Exynos 7420 with four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53, offering 20 percent faster speed and 30 percent more productivity.

Galaxy Note 5 is also rumored to equip a new type of memory chip, called EPOP, combining 3GB LPDDR3 DRAM with 32GB of internal memory.

The camera on Galaxy Note 5, could be bumped to 21 MP from 16MP in Galaxy Note 4.

In terms of battery, the new smartphone could equip a 4000mAh battery cell along with special battery-saving features.

According to Ecumenical News, the Galaxy Note 5 will carry a price tag between $760-912.
