Kris Jenner Working Hard to Shut Down Ex-Husband Bruce’s Spin-Off show
Kris Jenner does not want anyone - other than her children - profiting from E!.
According to the latest rumors, Bruce Jenner's spin-off reality TV show has been canceled due to his ex-wife, Kris Jenner.
Kris was reportedly concerned that a new show following Bruce's transition into a woman would take away viewers from her hit show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians." Kris and her children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Kendall and Kylie Jenner all signed a new contract with the network that is worth around $80 million for three seasons. Earlier reports claimed that the contract was four seasons worth $100 million.
Kim's husband, rapper Kanye West, was not a part of the deal but will reportedly continue to make appearances. Kourtney's longtime beau and father of her three children, Scott Disick allegedly signed a separate contract. The Kardashians' brother, Rob, will be paid per episode.
Despite the amount of money that Kris will make from the show, she was still concerned that a potential Bruce spin-off would steal her thunder and did everything that she could in order to stop that show from happening.
"Kris is doing everything in her power to make sure that Bruce does not get a spin-off show," a source said reported by Radar Online according to the Mirror. "She has even gone so far as to say that she will not allow the Kardashians to be involved at all if Bruce gets his own show."
The source added, "She has actually asked the higher-ups how E! could do this to her after all that she has done for them! Part of her believes that Bruce is doing the transition to one-up her and get even for all the trauma that she put him through."
The executive producer for "Keeping up with the Kardashians," Jeff Jenkins, announced that there is no Bruce spin-off in the works that he knows of at least.
He said, "You will see Bruce on season 10 and beyond that, he is in season 10. He's in all the way to the very end of it. Beyond that there is, to my knowledge, no series in production that, as we said, is its own series. That's really the current situation. As of right now, there's no 'Keeping Up with Bruce Jenner.'"
"Keeping up with the Kardashians" season 10 premieres on March 15.
In the meantime, several reports are claiming that Bruce will undergo sex-change surgery near the end of this summer.
