After watching this video, you will definitely want to wear sunscreen!

Wearing sunscreen is essential to do before heading outdoors into the scorching heat, but it sometimes can be a pain or easy to forget. A father from Las Vegas did a little experiment to show his children the damage that's caused when you forget to wear sunscreen.

Mark Eldred, 44, took an apple and made a few carvings in it before placing it outside to suffer the wear and tear of the dry sun in Las Vegas.

The idea came to Mark when he saw his wife carving out pumpkins for Halloween, and thought he could create something a little more scary.

Perhaps now not only did his children get the message about wearing sunscreen, but so did the rest of us.

In another video that's making the rounds online, people were shown what they look like under ultraviolet light with and without sunscreen. "We showed people what they looked like in ultraviolet, & wondered aloud if they wanted to put on some damn sunscreen already," read the caption for the video.

The results are alarming:
