iPhone 6s Release Date and Rumors Roundup: The Next iPhone May Sport Force Touch Display
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are only few months old but people have started looking forward to next iPhones - iPhone 6s or iPhone 7.
Going by the history of the release dates of previous iPhones, it's safe to predict that the next version of iPhones will most likely be introduced at a special event in September this year.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, according to rumors, will have a Force Touch screen, as seen on the Apple Watch.
"One person - who has recently proven extremely knowledgable regarding Apple's forward-looking plans - said the company toyed with putting Force Touch in the iPhone 6 last year, but "calibration" issues led to the feature being pulled from the device during its development cycle. With the Apple Watch release imminent, any issues preventing a potential iPhone debut have presumably been resolved, as the company's current roadmap calls for its extension to the 2015 iPhones," Apple Insider reported.
The report added that Apple is developing a 4.7-inch version and a 5.5-inch version of the next iPhone under codename "N71" and "N66" respectively.
