Google Assistant Comes To More Android Phones; See What Is Making It Important For Google

The digital assistant spotted in Google Pixel phones, Google Assistant is coming to other Android phones as well starting early this week. It is reported that the digital assistant is making a foray in both Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat phones and it is considered to be a tactical move by Google.

Google Assistant is currently reported coming to the phones in U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and Germany. It helps the users in a conversational way by providing answers to various queries by referring the internet or acts various tasks in the phone for the user like taking a photo with the camera, setting an alarm, dialing someone etc. The expected reply to Amazon Alexa, Microsoft Cortana, and Apple Siri, is also used in Google Home smart speaker- the smart control home device of Google.

It is found that in the recent years, the tech giants are competing for each other in smart home devices and Amazon Alexa has made an upper edge in the recent times. The move by Google is aimed at a significant position in the market as Google Assistant can be used as a smart home control device without any extra device or cost. It is also making sure an integration of the assistance platform into the smartphone and making convenience for the users.

Google confirmed that the phone doesn't need to be updated to get the update. It can be used in the phones that have Google Play services already installed. People can launch the assistant by long pressing the home button or saying "OK Google" after it is installed. Google also confirmed that in the coming years, the service would see major transitions including more languages that will be added to the service. According to the latest information, Google is planning to bring it to other platforms as well apart from Android. It can be a smart move if Google Assistant can create a great value addition.
