'Outlander' Season 3 Spoilers, News & Update: Series To air On September; Thirteen Episodes Expected

"Outlander" Season 3 finally has released a schedule for airing. The series is expected to return on Starz in September this year.

According to a report, the production for "Outlander" Season 3 has moved from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa. This is for the set of the final episodes for the upcoming season. The third season will focus on the lives of Jaime (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) after the two separated in the last episode of Season 2.

"Outlander" Season 3 will have 13 episodes and the production started in September last year. It will end its production for the show in June this year. The scenes to be shot in South Africa are the sea voyage team.

The story for "Outlander" Season 3 starts when Claire went back to the present time. She is pregnant and starts a new family with her husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) in Boston. Jaime is left behind surviving the Battle of Culloden.

The couple spends several years apart from each other. Jaime is not aware how Claire has been in her time. However, "Outlander" Season 3 also hints that they will meet again at a print shop. It also is hinted that they will spend more time with each other aboard the Artemis.

Meanwhile, Outlander Season 3 brings in new characters that will be part of Claire and Jaime's story. The Dunsany sisters are set to be introduced in the upcoming season. Gary Young is set to join the series as Mr. Willoughby. Captain Leonard who happens to be the captain of the ship that will be featured in the show will be portrayed by Charlie Hiett.

There are more to be expected in "Outlander" Season 3. The lives of Jaime and Claire will unfold on their own courses separately. Their love for each other will remain. Fans need only wait a few more months for the series to return.
