'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Original Charaters Back; Han Solo Dies?

The title for "Star Wars Episode VIII" has just been revealed. It has been titled just "Stars Wars: The Last Jedi."

A report indicates that "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will start from where "The Force Awakens" concluded. The film is also hinted to bring back to the time after the "Return of the Jedi" period. There are still questions as of this time as to who might be The Last Jedi.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will bring back some original characters from the previous franchises of the film. Mark Hamill will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker. Adam Driver is Kylo Ren. Carrie Fisher is also back for Leia Organa.

Additionally, Daisy Ridley will play Rey while john Boyega is Finn. Oscar Isaac will portray Poe Dameron and Lupita Nyong'o is Maz Kanata. Additional characters to return in Star Wars: The Last Jedi is, Domhnall Gleeson is General Hux, Anthony Daniels is C-3PO, Gwendoline Christie is back for Captain Phasma and Andy Serkis is Supreme Leader Snoke.

There are speculations that "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" will find the death of Han Solo. It is also speculated that the upcoming franchise is  darker based on the latest logo for the title. The logo is observed to carry on the color red. This indicates Darth Vader's color which may mean that there may be more danger for the characters in the film.

Meanwhile, writer/director Rian Johnson shares his influences while doing "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." He notes that the 1949 movie, 'Twelve O'clock High' is his big influence in doing the aerial combat and the pilot's dynamics in the film.

He also adds that for the sword fighting in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," he referred to 'Three Outlaw Samurai.' In the meantime, his influence on the romantic side of the film is the movie 'To Catch a Thief.' "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is a film that the fans can expect. The film is set to air on Dec. 15.
