Steven Universe Latest: Airing Will Be This Januaryt 30; Cartoon Network Explains "Leak"Of Steven Bomb Episode
Steven Universe continues to become a hit to viewers around the globe. And while the airing of its new episodes has been delayed, but fans are guaranteed it will be soon., a lot of things happened recently about this show.
There have been "accidental leaks" that are circulating around as regards to the new episodes of Steven Universe. One of these episodes is the one that titled "Steven Bomb". According to Polygon, the particular episode was accessed online through unofficial sites and even the site of Cartoon Network. Aside from "Steven Bomb" other episodes along with it are also said to be "leaked".
Was the leaking a human error or intentional? An unnamed representative from CN has said site that the company did it on purpose. CN said that such risky thing helped them to "build awareness" among Steven Universe fans about what will be upcoming episodes.
Cartoon Network admitted that it wasn't only the first time they did that. Even during releases of "Cloudy With The Chance of Meatballs" and "My Knight and Me", CN "leaked" it to achieve the same purpose. Now that aside from that controversial leak, spoilers are now getting more known to everyone, making the fans of Steven Universe a bit of apprehensive. Because of the "Steven Bomb" leakage, some fear that direct spoilers will come out. As a result, there may be viewers who will lose appetite in watching the show.
Also, one of the worries now of the fans is the possible diving down of the ratings because of the controversial incident involving "Steven Bomb" episode. It can be remembered that this show had once experienced low reception from viewers during the last two months of 2016 which made Ms Rebecca Sugar, Steven Universe's showrunner, to make a late release of the show this month.
Going back to the worried fans, some are expressing their apprehensions through Twitter. The posts imply that the action was an accidental thing to them rather than being intentional as what the company had claimed in the earlier part. The next episodes of Steven Universe will be aired this January 30.
