‘Westworld’ Kind Of Parks A Future Reality Or Is It Just An Imagination? An Analysis on AI And Robotics
"Westworld" Season 1 is over and its fans are eagerly waiting for Season 2 which is expected to premiere in 2018. A theme park which is controlled by Artificial Intelligence (AI) androids was a fresh concept and that helped the HBO series to become very successful. Will there be such parks in future? A serious and relevant question.
It can be concluded that the Westworld type of parks is a possibility of future. Keep in mind that the technology is getting a transformation in the recent years considering the growth of AI and robotics. Though the applications of both at the current level are very primitive, in the coming years the transition will be very fast and it can very well change the pace of the humanity. When both the systems mature, the other options apart from the advancement of humanity would come out.

The reality about each invention and technology advancement is that until it is completed it is in the hands of scientists and researchers and their morality. After that, it goes completely into the hands of politicians and businesses, where the decision is either taken on political advantages or business profit in mind. There are always having chances of forgetting the ethics or morality and grabbing the gains for a shorter period than anything good to the humanity.
The same might be applied in the case of AI and robotics and if any business house feels that it can get some good returns by developing a Westworld-like park, it may become a reality. Keep in mind that there are people with crazy adventure mindset like Man In Black and they might demand such parks in future when the humans like androids become a reality. Another set of people who always wanted something new to experience would also welcome such kind of parks without a second thought.
While discussing Westworld and the reality, one shouldn't forget about the warnings of Stephen Hawking, Barack Obama, Elon Musk etc., about a possible override in case of AI. Any science or technology advancement that caused miseries to the humanity is only because of the narrow minds who handled it with greedy mindsets.
