Year after year, mobile gaming sets its own record for the remarkable success of every mobile game published. We started out with Candy Crush, moved over to Flappy Bird until we reached the era of multiple-player games like Clash of Clans and Pokemon Go.

Now, let's take a look on what 2016 has brought in:

1. Final Fantasy IX

This JRPG has been in the gaming market for 16 years but its mobile debut in February still made it a hit. This was also considered as the best installment of all FF series, well thanks to the added emotional love story that fit perfectly to its classic JRPG gameplay.

2. Monster Hunter

Capcom has been a household name in the gaming industry for quite some time now. Who wouldn't have known Mega Man and the Monster Hunter series? Good thing they finally ventured into mobile gaming and we're pretty sure they'll keep their promise to give us Mega Man in mobile this 2017.

3. Pokemon Go

We've been out on the streets, with phone in hand trying to catch 'em all and be a PokeMaster. Surely, Pokemon Go has created another milestone for the gaming industry as this went out of the ordinary when it made players go out and meet real people rather than be stuck in their devices, talking to their virtual characters all the time.

4. The Swords

This Sunhead Games' action title is a cut above your typical iPhone title. This slick and stylish mobile game, with gorgeous graphics and interesting narrative, it's a well worth of a download on your mobile.

5.  Clash Royale

It's relatively easy to see why Clash Royale has always made it on the top lists: it's very easy to play, but really hard to master, it's addictive and exciting and next thing you know - you can't put the phone down once you start playing it. We bet we will be seeing more of this to be bigger in 2017.
