COD Modern Warfare DLC: Pay to Play As A Woman Soldier In Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Update
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered DLC brings female soldiers to front lines in the popular shooting game's multiplayer for the first time. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which first appeared in 2007 did not have playable women soldiers as an option. The 2013 game Call of Duty: Ghosts was the CoD title to feature the female fighters during the same year the U.S. military lifted its ban on women serving in combat.
This is definitely a great step towards inclusivity, however, various news sites are quick to note that the new models are not integrated directly in the game. The female avatars still need to be randomly acquired from the Supply Drops, a Call of Duty multiplayer feature from Advanced Warfare where players can get cosmetic items. To make sure, Modern Warfare Remastered players can also buy the female avatars with Call of Duty Points, in-game currency that you can buy with actual money.
According to the Activision blog, the loot drop has a fancy name, "Operation Arctic Wolf" which will contain weapon camos, reticles, combat uniforms, emblems, calling cards, and the brand-new characters. Raven Software, the developer behind COD Modern Warfare Remastered, believe that customization is a big part of Call of Duty, hence, the team is working hard to include a ton of new customization items that allow for a level of personalization that wasn't possible in 2007.
Operation Arctic Wolf is just one part of an even bigger Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered update. Holiday-themed Crash, "Winter Crash" which was only for PCs is now available for consoles. In addition, six maps from the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare are now added to the new version, totaling to 16 multiplayer maps.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered in true high-definition for the new generation and old fans is currently only accessible as an addition to package deals available for the newest title Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
