Did pop singer Shawn Mendes finally let the world know who his true love through Twitter? Want a clue? She is a universally loved actress for her universally loved character as a strong female wizard in Hogwarts.

In his tweet dated last December 9, the "Treat You Better" singer proclaimed his love for Harry Potter actress Emma Watson. In his tweet, he gathered his strength to tell her that he loves her.

The 18-year-old singer who rose to stardom through mobile app Vine has always said that he has a crush on Watson ever since her young days at Harry Potter. In an interview with E! News, he revealed her fascination on Watson and said that he would do anything to meet her in person.

This is not the first time that Mendes was involved with a famous actress. He was once linked with Chloe Grace-Moretz after people observed that the two are flirting in Twitter. However, Mendes denied that he is even flirting with Moretz. In an interview with People magazine, he said that the actress is one of the first people he got close with when he rose to stardom.

So, does the singer who popularized chart-topping songs like "Treat You Better", "Mercy", and "Stiches" have a chance to Watson? Currently, there is no reports that she is dating someone. Watson is expected to grace the big screen with the live adaptation of the Disney classic Beauty and The Beast. Not only that, she has The Circle under her list of films to be released soon.

They could be a fitting couple, though. Watson, a self-declared feminist who totally fit for Mendes who, through songwriting, shows that he will do anything to take care of a woman. His video Treat You Better advocates against relationship abuse.

There is still no reply from Watson after that tweet. Mendes would probably freak out if she did. Right now, he could probably rest after that successful Chicago show
