Amy Duggar recently joined We TV's "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars." Speculations are rife about what pushed the 30-year-old to return to TV via the reality series, and some reports are claiming that Duggar's decision was influenced by the domestic abuse she experiences at the hands of her husband, Dillion King.

Duggar is the rebel niece of "19 Kids and Counting" stars, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. She hasn't appeared in the Duggar couple's new reality series titled "Counting On," while her last appearance on "19 Kids and Counting" was in November 2014, in a special episode called "Amy's Nashville Dreams."

Duggar grew up alongside Jim Bob and Michelle's 19 kids after being born out of wedlock, according to Independent Journal Review. However, she was always considered as the black sheep. She said that she's "never really felt up to the Duggar standard" even though she attended a Christian school all her life, People reported.

"Marriage Boot Camp" is a far cry from the wholesomeness and perfect family vibe permeating "19 Kids and Counting." Viewers watch out for "Marriage Boot Camp" because of the cast's tendency to yell and fight one another. Alcohol meltdowns are a constant presence as well.

Duggar admitted in a recent interview with People that she and King sometimes have disagreements, but that doesn't mean that their marriage is about to fall apart and those arguments are certainly not the reason why they joined "Marriage Boot Camp."

A teaser video for "Marriage Boot Camp" showcased Duggar talking about a violent encounter - presumably with King - that involves a man grabbing her by the neck "all the way up to the ceiling." Fans of the Duggar family were worried about her apparent domestic abuse and some have reached out to her via social media and urged her to end her marriage with King, The Hollywood Gossip reported.

Duggar, however, defended King and tweeted this week that the teaser "doesn't involve Dillon in any way." She said that King would never physically hurt her and the issue has been incredibly hard on them especially to King, who's now receiving hate mail from viewers.

"Marriage Boot Camp" Season 7 premieres on Friday, Jan. 6. What are your thoughts on Duggar's alleged domestic abuse? Let us know below!

Duggar and King wed each other on Sept. 6, 2015 after being long-time friends. She told People that there are times when King drives her "up the wall," though they know that they need to "talk to each other" and learn a "new level of respect" for one another so their marriage would work.
