‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers & Latest News: What Happens To Barry’s Crossover and Kara and Mon-Els Kiss After Winter Hiatus

'Supergirl' Season 2 episode 9 will be having its midseason hiatus and will be back next year. When the show returns next year, expect Kara and Mon-El to start their relationship as well as Alex and Maggie. 

While, Supergirl almost got annihilated by Project Medusa during "Supergirl" Season 2 episode 8 but thankfully, Lena Luthor saved the day. Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Mon-El (Chris Wood) finally kissed after Mon-El thought that he would die.

During the Season 2 finale of "Supergirl," we find a four-way crossover with most of CW's superheroes. 
"The Flash," "Arrow" and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will happen when "Supergirl" returns. Barry Allen and Cisco Ramon finally arrive in Kara's universe and will ask her to help them in their fight against the Dominators, Entertainment reported. 

"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 8 was mostly about Project Medusa which has the power to kill other aliens. Thanks to Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), she was able to stop her mother Lillian (Brenda Strong) and neutralize the virus. 

  Once the winter hiatus is done, "Supergirl" Season 2 will return and will unravel much of the story on Mon-El. As could be seen at the final part of episode 8, Mon-El is being hunted down.  Cinema Blendexpresses the debut of his character on Earth 38 will mostly implicate Supergirl's future. 

While Lillian Luthor may have finally been captured by the police but executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says that this is not the last time viewers will see Lillian and Cadmus. "Sometimes an enemy is deadliest when they are trapped," Kreisberg says. "How Lillian deals with her incarceration and what happens moving forward will make up part of the storyline of the next batch of episodes.'

When it comes to the future of Lena Luthor, it is still unclear if she is a foe or not since she still holds the Luther name although she is adopted. Fans will still be wondering when would she be good or just like Superman's enemy Lex Luthor, will Lena be Supergirl?

When "Supergirl" Season 2 returns in 2017 fans may find out Mon-El's big secret and if there is a chance of Kara and him be together. And of course, fans would want to know more about what Barry has in store for Supergirl.
