2017 would be the year Final Fantasy turns thirty. As a celebration of Final Fantasy's Anniversary, reports say that a collection of Final Fantasy titles will be released.

According to VGLeak's report, Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary will have a lot of extensive plans for its fans next year. One was rumored that Square Enix will be releasing a Collection Edition of Final Fantasy for the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita sometime next year. The Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection will feature the first nine games in the series packed in a single disc or cartridge. The compilation will include ONLY the first nine games, which are Final Fantasies I to IX. Some of the older games such as Final Fantasy I until Final Fantasy VI will feature two versions of the game because of their remakes in different consoles and mobiles.

VGLeak's also reported that the original Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II, which was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) back in 1987 and 1988 respectively, will be translated into English. Created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the games will be translated for the first time and will retain all of its original content, according to VGLeaks.

"Games will be based on Japanese versions, therefore we will be able to play parts that were cut out when games were released overseas. Graphical censorship included in some titles when they were released outside Japan will remain."

In addition to the leaked games, Square Enix also released the official Final Fantasy 30th anniversary website for Final Fantasy's anniversary next year. It features highlights over the thirty years of the series and the titles of all the released Final Fantasy games up to the latest Final Fantasy XV. Gematsu also revealed some of Square Enix several plans for the upcoming Final Fantasy anniversary, which includes a Final Fantasy-themed escape room game in Japan on February 10, 2017.
