Wednesday news reported that UFC superstar and mixed martial artist, Conor McGregor, already got his boxing license to participate in the state of California. McGregor has been dreaming of fighting with the undefeated boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

According to Wayne Allyn Root, oddsmaker-turned-political commentator, he has confidence that a McGregor-Mayweather fight is possible and could make up to $800 million in earnings, and nearly $1 billion in betting. Mayweather said that only a mega-fight with Conor McGregor could let him put on his gloves once again.

Mayweather said: "If I do fight, it's only against Conor McGregor . . . not against nobody else. Because this match-up is so intriguing. You have a boxer against an MMA fighter - one of the best MMA fighters to ever stand up and do it. He's a strong fighter, and when I look at his fights, he's a little faster than I thought he was."

McGregor has never been taken down in his entire UFC career with only one lost via submission against Nate Diaz in March. He also is the first fighter to have two UFC titles after he beat Eddie Alvarez, that added the lightweight belt to his current featherweight title. But on the other side, Floyd Mayweather has never lost and still holds a dominant record 49-0 in his professional boxing career.

Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe, said that he "would get his ass beat from pillar to post" if McGregor would insist on fighting the never defeated boxer in boxing history.  Mayweather is considered on of the richest athlete of all time, with whopping earnings of $700 million during his 19-year boxing career. Ellerbe said that its still to far to happen since McGregor is still under the contract with the UFC.

McGregor's last fight earned him around $10 million and currently taking a timeout from his UFC career, as he will be preparing for the birth of his first child in May. The rumor spread out when the two fighters made several comments on the possible fight, but McGregor said that he demands $100 million to step into the ring before taking on with Mayweather.
