Apple's iPhone 8 is definitely coming in 2017 but due to the Cupertino company's ambitious plans for the device, there are rumors that the smartphone will be the biggest mobile-changer since the 2007 release of the original iPhone. Apple is reportedly implementing a massive redesign to bring new features coming in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

According to Tech Radar, Apple's next iPhone could have a whole new look. The gadget, the website added that the iPhone 8's design, specs, and features could all get a major overhaul. Mac Rumors highlights the radical design of the iPhone 8, which will have an edge-to-edge display that does away with the top and bottom bezels.

The iPhone 8 will have no Home button since the Touch ID, and the camera is rumored to be incorporated into the display. Apple has always wanted to offer an iPhone that looks like a single sheet of glass. For the tech company, 2017 is the right year to make that goal a reality.

University Herald reported on a recent leak that suggests the selection of Samsung as a supplier to the iPhone 8's OLED display. Apple reportedly signed a one-year contract with the South Korean tech giant to manufacture the OLED displays for the iPhone 8, potentially supplemented by panels from LG Display, AU Optronics, Japan Display, and Sharp.

The iPhone 8 is rumored to be manufactured in three variants, which will have glass cover instead of all-metal. Rocking an AMOLED screen, the 5.5-inch iPhone will feature a curved display, wireless charging, and possibly an iris scanner. The AMOLED screen provides better contrast ratio, truer colors, improved viewing angles.

A 10-nanometer A11 chip will be the brain of the iPhone 8. Based on reports, the processor is faster and more efficient. TMSC has been tapped to deliver all orders for the A11 chip.
