The "Prisma" app is highly popular due to its functionality to convert images into artistic by setting filters. Now, it wants to pitch into live broadcasts to be converted into artistic. The "Prisma" started the new functionality with Facebook live broadcast and users can make use of the "Style Transfer" it offers.

Like how the "Prisma" app introduced, the feature is currently available only to iOS users and specifically to iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 users. It should be noted that the Style Transfer works with the compatible hardware and software with sufficient processing power and hence the device used should be capable of supporting the functionality. Since the other devices are not found to be fit for the requirement, it is not added at this point of time.

The developer of the app confirmed that the team is working to bring the feature to powerful Android phones as well in future. "Not all phones can functionally work the app," said Aram Airapetyan from "Prisma" . "We're planning to bring the new experience to our Android phone users as well, but the phones should have sufficient processing power."

Users can choose one of the eight filters present in the Prisma app once the update is installed on the phone. It is reported that the update also improves the quality of the videos. Additionally, the developer is planning to launch GIF support, which would help users to share photos in social media, improved quality images, reduced processing time etc.

It is reported that Google and Facebook also trying to develop its own Style transfers. Facebook has already started including artistic filters for Facebook live some days back. Google has revealed its plans to develop Prisma-like technology to its platforms. Aleksey Moiseenkov CEO of "Prisma" has confirmed that it shows the importance of Style transfer and how important it is in the bigger world.

The innovation made by "Prisma" was huge with its Style transfers and that has made even tech giants to copy the feature. Since Google has come up with its line mobile phones with Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, it wouldn't a big issue for it to come up with the app or further transition, but Facebook would really have to get the support of the device manufacturers to make further innovation in the product.
