For years, MMA fans have been eyeing for the Cris Cyborg vs Ronda Rousey match-up. After Cyborg's recent TKO win over Lina Lansberg last September 24, 2016. During the main event of UFC Fight Night Brasilia in Brazil, she was once again asked about the former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.

According to Fox Sports, numerous times, Cyborg has expressed her interest in fighting Ronda Rousey, however, it has to be a catch weight at 140 lbs. Ronda Rousey on the other hand, is unwilling to go up to 140 lbs. and would only fight Cyborg at 135 lbs.

Many would agree with Rousey setting the terms and staying at bantamweight since she was the champion. But after being dethroned by Holly Holm last November 2015, many thought this would be the perfect time to fight in a catch weight. However, Rousey has not fought in UFC ever since her lost. Until now, fans are still waiting for her comeback.

"I want Ronda to come back, I think she should show people even when you lose, it's not the end of the world. You cannot give up." Cyborg told Fox Sports after her recent victory. Cyborg called out Rousey, telling her to come back for her fans and for women's MMA. Cyborg also said that she wants to give all her fans a great fight and fighting Rousey is one they have been looking forward to see.

UFC president Dana White believes that Cyborg vs. Rousey is potentially the biggest and highest-selling pay-per-view for UFC. Rousey has yet to confirm whether she will fight by end of 2016 against the current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, Amanda Nunes. According to Yahoo Sports, if Rousey does get her belt back, the fight between her and Cyborg would probably be put on hold yet again.
